How to Join

Operating as a student organization at La Sierra University, we encourage all students from any academic major or background to explore engagement in our team. As we regularly develop and implement projects and programs in the categories of (1) Education, (2) Health and Wellness, (3) Economic Opportunity, (4) Environmental Sustainability, and (5) Disaster Relief, we actively recruit new members from across our campus. We believe that putting our education to work is an excellent supplement to the already strong educational experiences we engage in as students of La Sierra University.

If you are a student at La Sierra University interested in joining our team, we have created a process of three simple steps leading to Official Membership.

Step One:

First, as with all other student organizations on our campus, we use the communication tool OrgSync as the hub of our internal communication and team management. Log into OrgSync and/or create and account and request to join SIFE. One of our team members will approve your request right away and you will then have access to a number of resources, materials, and updates from the SIFE Team.

Step Two:

Once you have connected with us through OrgSync, fill out our short membership application form available at http://goo.gl/HiXIm . The information you submit will be used by our Member Development Team to begin identifying your strengths and areas of interest.

Step Three:

After your membership application form has been processed, you will be contacted by our Member Development Team and invited to begin a short SIFE 101 training experience. The training provides an overview of our organization, how to develop yourself as a professsional participant in it, and how we develop our operations. But please note that while engaged in the training process, you are still welcome to attend team meetings and activities.

Upon successful completion of the training, qualified applicants will be recognized and presented as Official Members of the La Sierra University Students in Free Enterprise Team. This will open access to several benefits including leadership opportunities in the team and career opportunities through the global SIFE network of more than 100 large donor corporations.
